How to get here ?
BY CAR
From Nice, take the A8 toward Genova. After the first toll booth in Italy , get on RN204, in the direction COL DE TENDE/CUNEO. Continue about 30 km , until you arrive at Saint Dalmas de Tende, where you will turn right at the signpost marked La Brigue , just after the town. Continue through La Brigue , following the signs for Notre Dame des Fontaines. Just BEFORE Notre Dame des Fontaines, take a sharp left, at the sign marked Vallee de Bens. Continue until the end of the road, park your car, and follow the posted signs toward FAR or Vente des Fromages, or just follow the telephone line (20 minutes by foot, 200 m elevation gain).
If you're coming from the north, you can join N202 (SS20) at Cuneo , by Barcelonnette and the pass of The Arche. Watch out for tedious police patrols on both sides of the border.
BY TRAIN
From Nice, take the line toward CUNEO or TURN (direct or changing at Vintmille/Ventimiglia), and get off at LA BRIGUE or TENDE. There are 5-6 trains each day. Careful, the station at La Brigue is miniscule, with neither ticket booth nor telephone, and at night it may easily be missed. Let us know in advance so we can pick you up at the station, and confirm by telephone when and at which station you will arrive.
